How do I arrive at Hotel de Boei?

Can I park for free in Egmond aan Zee?

In Egmond aan Zee, paid parking applies:

  • From 1 March to 1 November, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily.
  • From 1 November to 1 March, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (as of 1 January 2023). Parking is free on all other days.

Some Hotel in Egmond accommodations offer private parking. Others offer digital parking permits for a fee. You can check what applies to the hotel or apartment of your choice on the website.

  

New Parking Meters

The municipality of Bergen is currently replacing parking meters. Work in Egmond aan Zee will continue until mid-April. Please note the following for the new machines:

  • Payment is digital only, via card or phone. Coins are no longer accepted.
  • No printed ticket will be issued. You will receive a digital one. Parking is monitored based on your number plate.

You can still use a parking app as an alternative to the meters.

  

The replacement of the meters does not affect existing parking rules, permits, or permit zones.

Can I park my car at Hotel de Boei?

Guests of Hotel de Boei can park outside the hotel grounds in public parking spaces using a digital parking permit obtained from the hotel reception. One parking permit is available per room at a cost of €8.50 per night.

  • In a double room: no child discount
  • In a triple or quadruple room: 25% child discount

FAQ - Your stay at Hotel de Boei

What are the check-in and check-out times at Hotel de Boei?

Hotel de Boei is located in two adjacent buildings. The reception desk is located in the main building at Westeinde 2, 1931 AB Egmond aan Zee. Hotel de Boei’s reception is open until 6pm on Fridays and until 5pm on other days. Outside these hours, you may check in at Hotel Zuiderduin, 52 Zeeweg, Egmond aan Zee.

   

Your room is available from 3pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 10.30am.

Is breakfast uncluded at Hotel de Boei?

Breakfast is included* during your stay at Hotel de Boei. It is not possible to book a room without breakfast. You are welcome to enjoy breakfast at Restaurant Jooi! between 8.00 am and 10.30 am.

I have mobility problems. Is Hotel de Boei suitable for me?

Hotel de Boei is located in two adjacent buildings, one of which does not have a lift. The other building does have a lift, but this only reaches the upper floors. There are steps/stairs in the corridors, making the hotel rooms difficult to reach by walker and wheelchair. In addition, the rooms do not have special adjustments.

At Hotel Zuiderduin and Appartementen de Egmonden, you will find wheelchair-accessible rooms and apartments with the necessary adaptations for a carefree stay.

Can I bring my dog to Hotel de Boei?

Yes, Hotel de Boei has a few apartments where, subject to availability, dogs are welcome*. Before making a reservation, we kindly ask you to contact us first to check the availability of apartments that allow dogs. We would like to inform you that we allow a maximum of two dogs per room and that an additional charge of € 20,00* for one dog per night and € 25,00 for two dogs per night will be charged (assistance dogs excluded). Please take this into account when planning your stay.

  

* Pets other than dogs are not allowed in the hotel or apartment.

Is smoking allowed in the room?

No. The hotel is completely non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms, facilities, or public areas.

Does the hotel offer bicycle hire?

Yes, the local area is ideal for exploring by bike. At BikeMike, located in the basement of Hotel Zuiderduin (Zeeweg 52, 1931 VL Egmond aan Zee), you can hire electric bikes, tandems, or an electric wheelchair bike. Check BikeMike's current opening hours.

I received a payment link via WhatsApp or email. Is this trustworthy?

No, this is likely a scam (phishing). We never send payment links or requests for data verification via WhatsApp.

We only send payment links via email in the following cases:

  • When directly linked to a booking confirmation for a reservation made directly with us.
  • Following prior personal contact with us via phone or email.

  

What should I do if I receive a suspicious message regarding a booking made through an external website?
Did you book through a platform such as Booking.com or Expedia? If so, all communication and payments must go through the secure environment of that platform. We will never send you a separate email or WhatsApp message for this.

How do I recognise a fraudulent message?
  • The sender: Check the email address, the sender's name, and the country code of the phone number (+31).
  • The language: Look out for spelling mistakes, unusual phrasing, or unprofessional language.
  • The tone: We will never ask you for information or payments using an urgent, demanding, or threatening tone.
What should I do if I receive a suspicious message?
