Restaurant Jooi! is an atmospheric grand café and restaurant, located in the very same building as Hotel de Boei, right on the Egmond aan Zee boulevard. Owners Jeroen and Patricia have been running the restaurant since 2021 with a clear mission: great food at a fair price, in an environment where everyone feels welcome. The kitchen works exclusively with fresh ingredients, and the menu changes regularly to showcase seasonal dishes. Then you are warmly invited to join us every morning between 08:00 and 11:00 for our generous breakfast buffet at Restaurant Jooi!, accessible via the connecting door in our lobby. If you are staying in one of our apartments, breakfast can easily be added to your booking.
The buffet offers a wide choice of hot dishes, including scrambled eggs, sausages, and pancakes. You will also find freshly baked bread and croissants, a variety of cheeses and cold meats, yoghurt, muesli, and fresh fruit, all accompanied by unlimited coffee or tea. The breakfast buffet is €16.50 for adults. Children aged 3 and under dine for free, and for children aged 4 to 12, the price is €9.00.
Its location close to both the beach and the charming shopping street makes Restaurant Jooi! the perfect spot to settle down for lunch. The lunch menu features classics such as traditional Dutch uitsmijters (fried eggs on bread), a rustic omelette, and pancakes. We also serve fresh soups (including our signature Egmond fish soup) and sandwiches made with traditional sourdough bread. Choose from smoked salmon with wasabi mayonnaise, carpaccio with truffle mayonnaise, or the popular Jooi! Lunch: soup, rustic bread, a traditional Dutch 'kroket' (beef croquette), and tuna salad for €14.75.

The kitchen offers a wide selection of fish, meat, and vegetarian dishes, featuring highlights such as pan-fried halibut, ribeye from the charcoal grill, or a Poké Bowl with mango and edamame beans (vegan and vegetarian options available). After a day on the beach or a brisk coastal walk, you can wander straight into the restaurant. While booking is recommended, we always keep tables open for walk-ins. The beach is less than a minute’s walk away, making Jooi! the perfect pitstop during a day by the sea.
